Stream Design Engineer - Insight Global : Job Details

Day to Day:

The SDE shall lead the day-to-day effort for designing the stream and its 32 habitat. This design Work shall include specialty design Work, including 33 compliance with the Injunction, hydraulic design, hydrology, stream 34 grading, stream restoration with LWM placement with and without anchor 35 system design, stream restoration with natural habitat diversity features, 36 stream or river embankment stabilization, flood risk analysis, 37 geomorphology, zero rise analysis, scour analysis, streambed material 38 design, and backwater analysis. The channel design and other elements as 39 described above shall be designed by, or under the direct supervision of, the 40 SDE. The SDE shall be the Engineer of Record (EOR) for these specialty 41 designs. The SDE shall be responsible for all hydraulic and hydrology Work 42 revisions for the duration of the Contract.

• Lead the day-to-day effort for designing the stream and its habitat
• Specialty design work, including:
• compliance with the Injunction,
• hydraulic design
• hydrology
• stream grading
• stream restoration with LWM placement with and without anchor system design
• stream restoration with natural habitat diversity features
• stream or river embankment stabilization
• flood risk analysis,
• geomorphology,
• zero rise analysis,
• scour analysis, streambed material design,
• backwater analysis.
• Channel design and other elements be designed by, or under the direct supervision of, the SDE
• Engineer of Record (EOR) for these specialty designs.
• Responsible for all hydraulic and hydrology Work revisions for the duration of the Contract.

Must Haves:

• a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Work listed within the Day to Day
• completed the design of a minimum 2 of two successful fish passage projects
• To be considered successful, the fish passage structures: (a) are currently in service and fish passable per the 4 requirements in the WDFW Water Crossing Design Guidelines; and (b) contain no modifications related to the stream design.
• The SDE shall be a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Washington.
