Constructs and refurbishes math and science teaching kits. Assists with inventory control through stocking kits and kit supplies, maintaining stock, and rotating stock. Assists in organizing the materials center to ensure efficient use of space and safe storage. Delivers and/or picks up equipment, materials, and supplies to/from participating teachers. Follows safety procedures, both on the road and while loading/unloading vehicle as instructed by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) guidelines. Monitors the condition of the vehicle and reports issues to direct supervisor to ensure that any repairs/problems are attended to immediately. Assists with preparation for Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) and Alabama Science in Motion (ASIM) programs, trainings, presentations, and operation of the materials center.
