ABOUT THE JOB

Salvos Stores are looking for a Store Manager to efficiently and effectively manage all aspects of one retail site to maximise sales and profitability. You will drive and lead the team whilst providing an inspiring in-store experience for customers and community members.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this is a permanent, full-time role located in our new store in Virginia, Queensland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive store success - Lead retail operations to hit sales and surplus targets.
  • Maximise stock efficiency ensuring all products are ordered, priced, and displayed according to Salvos Stores' standards and values.
  • Inspire and lead a team of employees and volunteers, with regular training and performance feedback.
  • Keep budgets on track , managing rosters and wages to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Boost volunteer engagement , building a passionate, committed team.
  • Build strong community connections , working with local Salvation Army groups, councils, and community partners.

ABOUT YOU

  • Management experience in a retail setting ( required ) .
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent people leadership and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using Workday HCM system ( highly regarded) .
  • Alignment with The Salvation Army Mission and Values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
