The Daiso Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of your assigned store. The Store Manager will ensure the smooth running of store operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. An effective store manager will be able to motivate all store personnel to perform according to their maximum capability. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop business strategies to increase customer base, expand store traffic, enhance basket size, and optimize profitability.
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
  • Uphold Daiso's standards for display presentation.
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and career development.
  • Address issues arising from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.).
  • Manage store inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing education for staff.
  • Create and manage store schedules to meet customer demand and payroll targets.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and offboard staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a retail manager or in a similar managerial role.
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 40 lbs.

Time Management and Personal Skills:

  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage others effectively.

Driving Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive as required.
