Position Description:

Under general supervision, operate forklift, stocking shelves, retrieve stock to fulfill orders, cycle counting and inventory control. Moving material to correct location.

Essential Functions:

· Picking of required material to fulfill shop order requirements

· Use of handheld scanner for all material movements.

· Ongoing cycle counts for purchased and manufactured parts.

· Assist with the inventory dispositions due to engineering releases or changes.

· Location assignment for purchased and manufactured items.

· Work with established Lou-Rich Inc. ISO policies and procedures.

· Work with various requests for forklift delivery of products within the shop floor based on requested items from the stockroom.

· Prep and package supplier returned materials for shipment along with the necessary computer transactions for record accuracy.

· Inspects material handling equipment before each shift and arranges for repairs, as necessary.

· Will occasionally assist with Shipping and Receiving as needed.

· Routine maintenance procedures as scheduled.

· Follows safety guidelines for forklift operation.

  • High School Diploma
  • Good math, language, and reading skills.
  • Computer proficiency sufficient to record receipt and stocking of merchandise and removal of inventory to fill requisitions and orders.
  • Forklift training certificate will work with the individual to receive this.
  • Well organized, attention to detail and accuracy

Lou-Rich Training Requirement:

· Applicable training will be completed by following the syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS - Time clock, IFS - Navigation, ISO, Inspection Hand Tools, Inspection Forms, CMM, and Technical) for each new hire and that will be verified by the Employee Orientation & Job Qualification form within the first 60 days of employment. Additional applicable training will be completed by following the individuals assigned department training matrix, Inventory (F4400-040).

· Follow training syllabus (Technical from above list). Effectiveness of training guidelines will be determined by employee knowledge and demonstration of learned concepts. Additional training after the first several weeks of on-the-job training will be arranged by the Supervisor in preparation for operating on their own as needed. Any follow-up training will be evaluated and provided at the 60-day review or as deemed necessary for the position.
