Start Date:Late October 2025Location of Training:Newark, able to travel to Wilmington as needed

Training Hours:MondayFriday, 7:00 AM3:30 PM or 12:00 p.m. 8:30 p.m. shift

Work location: Newark or Wilmington, after completion

RESPONSIBILITIES

Completes all class work and assignments, demonstrating active learning and involvement.

Optimally passes all learning module examinations and maintains class attendance.

Actively participates in precepted learning experiences in all areas of Sterile Processing.

Demonstrates understanding of aseptic technique and sterilization parameters.

Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and entry-level technical skills in the following areas:

All types of instrument decontamination procedures

Operation of various cleaning and sterilization equipment.

Identification of all surgical instruments and understanding of instrument use and maintenance.

Assembling instruments into their assigned trays according to the instrument tray list by configuration and number.

Use of appropriate biological indicators in the sterilization process, adhering to quality control requirements.

Ability to wrap and label items accurately for steam, Sterrad, and gas sterilization.

Assembling case carts for surgical procedures using the appropriate picklist.

Documentation in the electronic instrument documentation system

Upon the successful completion of the program, you will be required to embrace the flexibility of available shifts. This includes the day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, depending on what's available. Be ready to adapt to a rotating schedule that encompasses weekends and holidays. You could be selected to work at our Newark or Wilmington campus. Your dedication to this diverse schedule will be essential in supporting our mission.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or equivalent and/or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
