Sterile Processing Technician

Salary: $1450/Week

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, assembly of linen packs, and operation of steam, ETO, and other forms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsible for customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications
  • Certification for Sterile Processing Technicians by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) may be required
  • One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Requirements:

  • CRCST
  • BLS
  • Primary responsibility is infection control
  • Experience in surgical preparation for various specialties (vascular, ophthalmic, laparoscopic, orthopedic, etc.)
  • Fully COVID (with booster)/flu vaccinated by start date
