Key Responsibilities: - Float within assigned facilities as needed, adapting to the varying demands of each hospital. - Maintain high standards in the surgical environment, ensuring all protocols for sterilization and infection control are followed. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support. - Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation. - Demonstrate expertise in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to endoscope reprocessing, high-level disinfection, and equipment handling. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and institutional policies. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years experience in surgical services or a related specialty. - Current BLS certification is required at the time of submission. - Certification in either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) is a must. - Proficiency in utilizing Epic or similar charting systems. - Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments and adapt to new procedures swiftly. - Successful completion of a Dysrhythmia Test is required during orientation. - Must be able to scrub in surgical procedures relevant to the job posting. Work Environment: - The role requires floating among five hospitals, so flexibility is crucial. - The expected patient ratios are as follows: PCU & ICU/PCU Float: 1:5+ when floated to PCU; MS/Tele: 1:6. - This position involves evening and weekend coverage as per staffing needs. Additional Information: - RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application. - Candidates living within 50 miles of the primary hospital may be accepted at a lower rate. - All travelers must complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
