Job Responsibilities:
Workflow - Enhances daily perioperative and clinic flow
Equipment Operation - Operates equipment to decontaminate, prep and pack, sterilize, pick instruments and trays to set up case carts.
Instrumentation - Records and reports malfunctioning equipment and broken instrumentation, scopes and supplies in order to ensure adequate availability
Quality and Process Improvement - Engages in quality assurance activities and lean/process improvement projects
Advanced Sterile Processing - Coordinate and assist with direction of the shift. Functions as preceptor and educates. Maintain PAR levels to assure inventory, trays and instrumentation. Maintains adequate stock and storage of supplies and equipment to ensure instrumentation and scopes are available.
To provide HLD (high level disinfection) and sterilized equipment and instruments for clinical and surgical procedures.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Certified Registered Central Supply Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
