Sterile Processing Aide - Riverside Health System : Job Details

Responsible for all aspects of instrument preparation, sterilization/disinfection procedures for surgical procedure environment to ensure optimum care to all patients. Functions in Preceptor role for Sterile Processing Aides. Has working knowledge of regulatory requirements and can apply critical thinking skills to situation at hand for resolution. Expected to float to other RHS facilities for like competencies. What you will do. Responsible for maintaining knowledge and applying it to instrument/equipment/room decontamination and sterilization process that meets AORN, AMMI, ISSHAM, and CDC standards. Provides a safe, efficient and supportive environment for the patient and self by using appropriate protective equipment, body mechanics, and follows safety guidelines and procedures.
