Position Summary: We are seeking a data-savvy Statistician to support analytics in the solar energy sector. This role involves using SQL to extract and analyze large datasets related to project performance, customer behavior, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong statistical foundation, practical experience with energy or engineering data, and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Essential Duties:
- Analyze solar project flow and operational data using statistical methods such as Bayesian inference and distribution modeling, tailored to specific project characteristics.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis & explain them.
- Develop forecasts, trend analyses, and performance reports.
- Collaborate across teams to drive data-informed decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Statistics, Data Science, (IEOR) industrial engineering and operation research or related field.
- 2+ years' experience in a statistical/data analyst role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Effective communicator with strong data visualization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Python/ R Script preferred
- Knowledge of solar or energy industry data is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma (Kaizen) Certified
