STATIONARY ENGINEER - State of Illinois : Job Details

The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Stationary Engineer for the Fox Developmental Center located in Dwight, Illinois to receive day to day guidance and assignments from Chief Stationary Engineer. Installs, maintains, and repairs various mechanical systems and auxiliary powerhouse equipment within the Fox Developmental Center. Makes rounds of buildings boiler and mechanical rooms at regular intervals to assess the operation and efficiency of machinery and equipment and to detect potential mechanical problems. Tests and records water used for consumption or used for other systems and adds appropriate chemicals as needed for proper maintenance of systems. Confers with tenant agencies to resolve problems related to building services. Travels in performance of job duties.
