  • AdventHealth Lake Wales is a licensed 160-bed hospital, with 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community and surrounding areas.
  • As a part of the AdventHealth network patients will have greater access to a wide range of innovative therapies, new research, leading-edge technology and an extensive team of medical specialists.
  • Lake Wales is located in Central Florida in between Orlando and Tampa and is home to the Historic Bok Tower Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.
The role you'll contribute: Responsible for operating and maintaining the hospital Central Energy Plant (CEP). This plant includes: steam boilers, water cooled centrifugal chillers, diesel generators, diesel fire pump, medical air, vacuum and gas systems. Ensures all plant equipment is operating within design specifications. Must have repair and maintenance knowledge of commercial plumbing and HVAC systems. Must have knowledge of high and low pressure steam systems. Must have experience with commercial Building Automation Systems (BAS). Must be flexible in schedule to work any shift, days, on-call hours and holidays. The value you'll bring to the team:
  • Continuously works toward plant optimization and improvement
  • Conducts daily rounds and inspections of the CEP equipment
  • Keeps accurate logs of daily CEP readings, reacts to reading that are out of range
  • Performs water testing for chillers and boilers, makes necessary adjustments when out of range
  • R esponds to work orders promptly and completes each assignment in a timely manner
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • High School graduate or G.E.D required
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • EPA Universal Technician or ability to obtain within 90 days
