SAFY is seeking a full-time Statewide Clinical Director for the State of Kentucky to beresponsible for clinical leadership in the state of Kentucky, assuring active clinical quality, staff accountability, and program expansion consistent with the SAFY Model of Care including traditional, therapeutic, treatment and foster care, Independent Living/Older Youth Services and High Fidelity Wraparound (in-home family preservation services). Ideally this person has direct or related experience in Treatment Foster Care and Independent Living services, working with youth offering community-based services. SAFY of KY is a team of more than 70 associates, comprised of 5 operating divisions in Bowling Green, Lexington, Louisville, Northern KY, and Somerset. Statewide, we serve over 220 foster youths across 160 foster homes, and over 80 Independent Youth Clients, as well as 21 clients receiving High Fidelity Wraparound services. In total we provide $14mm of services annually. What You'll DoManagement & Leadership:
  • Ensure consistent quality of clinical care, ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation.
  • Approve and set the quality standards for the supervision of our Clinical Staff as it relates to Assessments, Care Plans striving for Permanency, Visitation notes, Critical Incident notes, Foster Parent Rules Violations and Discharge plans.
  • Maintain strong, supportive relationships with Clinical Staff, Foster Parents, Stakeholder and the balance of KY growth and development staff.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performance leadership team of divisional Treatment Directors. Provide direction to supervisors in the form of answers to problems and advice with staff performance and youth issues. Assist in establishing performance goals for the division and monitor progress. Perform scheduled evaluations and conduct monthly supervision for all direct reports.
  • Responsible for implementation of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) and ensuring EBP fidelity
  • Establishes work schedules for direct reports and fill in during absence or vacant position. Conduct final interviews of division applicants in the region.
  • Collaborate with and participate as an active member of the Senior Management Team. Engage in a positive interface with corporate personnel/departments.
  • Manage and develop high performance teams.
Stakeholder Relations:
  • Establish and maintain a strong presence and relationship with all contracting entities, professional networks, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain telephone contact with staff, foster parents, and referring agencies by developing a routine calendar and schedule regular office visits.
  • Attendance at foster parent conferences, foster parent trainings and other special events as schedule permits; attend division treatment team and clinical staff meetings as needed. Participate in assigned committees and serve as a liaison with state and national organizations as required.
Quality Assurance:
  • Lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service areas.
  • Responsible for ensuring that youth, foster parent and other client files are in compliance at all times. Responsible for licensing and accreditation compliance. Review critical incident reports and foster parent rules violations/investigations.
  • Ensure effective implementation of systems to track progress, regularly evaluate program components, and measure outcomes that can be effectively communicated to SAFY of America, the board, funders, and other constituents. Complete monthly reports for supervisor in a timely manner
Other:
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in joint meetings, and problem identification and resolution.
  • Establish and maintain a supportive and positive working relationship with youth, foster parents, referring agencies, and other SAFY stake holders.
  • Attend relevant in-house and external seminars, trainings, conferences and workshops to develop and enhance knowledge in the designated area as well as achieve relevant education hours per year to enhance professional and job-related skills.
  • Attend required meetings within division, region, and central office (team and/or community partners).
  • Participate in assigned committees and chairs if so appointed. If appointed, maintain liaisons with state and national organizations.
  • Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss issues and performance.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly reports to immediate supervisor.
  • Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents, referral sources and the public.
  • Conduct new staff orientation training as necessary.
  • Provide backup to on call response for assigned region(s) and nationally as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child and family studies, or other approved related field of human services
  • Independent State Licensure: LMFT, LCSW, LP CC-ART, LPAT, ATR-BC, OTHER
  • Ten years of experience in the field of social services, five of those years being in a management/administrative capacity
  • Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to be with your Clinical teams and Foster Parents spread across 5 divisions.

  • Targeted hiring range:$75,000 to $98,000
    • Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure of candidate, location of position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
