State Relations Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and process WOTC-related documents received in various formats
  • Ensure timely routing of documentation to appropriate state and federal agencies
  • Enter and verify data using standardized procedures
  • Support ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures
  • Monitor production workflows and report on operational metrics
  • Conduct audits and prepare client-specific data setups
  • Validate and follow up on data through phone, email, or fax communication
  • Ensure proper system tracking of declarations, certifications, and rejections
  • Handle time-sensitive or escalated tasks effectively
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors
  • Perform research and analysis to support special projects
  • Support various clerical and operational tasks as assigned
  • Prioritize workload and adapt to shifting deadlines
  • Take initiative to acquire new tasks and responsibilities

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a leading global organization based in St. Louis, MO. There is potential to extend. We offer two days a week of telecommuting! Successful candidates have a high level of initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1+ years of office, operations, or administrative experience
  • Experience with Adobe Pro
  • Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with general productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email platforms)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within established procedures and timelines

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat or similar document tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking ability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
