Responsibilities:
Plan and lead department processes for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.Prepare build analyses and cost estimate reports.Lead integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.Participate in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.Develop complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering needs.Manage tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.Lead investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing issues.Lead teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.Support enterprise-level benchmarking to incorporate best practices.Develop work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.Develop scheduling templates for use by others.Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory requirements.Develop and document new job practices, techniques, and standards.Position Requirements:
- Associate's Degree
- Minimum of 6 years' aerospace manufacturing planning experience and reading engineering drawings
- Experience in writing and revising work procedures
- Systems experience: PDM, CAPP, and CMES
