Job Description :

Position: Customer Service RepresentativePay: $20–$23/hrDuration: 1 yearLocation: Onsite – Corning, NY

Education: Associate degree requiredExperience: Minimum 2+ years in customer service or corporate environment (strongly preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage domestic and international customer accounts to ensure accurate, timely order processing
  • Enter and validate orders using PeopleSoft and SAP systems
  • Coordinate logistics for export and offshore orders using Origin Manager
  • Create shipping templates, confirm routing, obtain quotes, and manage booking details
  • Maintain and develop customer service processes across global locations
  • Create/approve ePOs and customer invoices; validate sold-through invoice details
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations for international shipments
  • Support global customer service teams and assist with credits, rebates, and RMAs
  • Generate RFQs and quotes based on product and pricing knowledge
  • Monitor open orders and shipments to meet customer deadlines
  • Track deliveries and manage exceptions proactively
  • Maintain accurate customer profiles and agreements in internal systems
  • Ensure timely and accurate Fiber Data Delivery (FDD) for shipments
  • Respond to inquiries within 24 hours regarding orders, FDD, or product information
  • Provide product recommendations based on technical knowledge and customer needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Shipping, QA, IT, Finance, Sales, and external partners
  • Resolve billing and payment discrepancies with customers
  • Support sales team with reports and ad hoc analysis
  • Participate in business projects and improvement initiatives as needed
