Role Overview

As a Staff Engineer on the SlideShare Team, you will design, develop, and maintain frontend SlideShare projects. You will drive the platform's user-facing experiences, leveraging web technologies such as Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, CSS, and GraphQL. You will also collaborate on projects involving Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities
  • Lead frontend technical decisions for SlideShare projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement new features using modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with ML teams to integrate models for personalized content and intelligent experiences.
  • Work with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to develop user-centric features.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
  • Coordinate with backend engineers to build integrated solutions, focusing on frontend technologies.
    • Qualifications
    • 8+ years of experience in frontend software development.
    • Expertise in JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and ES6.
    • Strong understanding of web performance, UI/UX, and responsive design.
    • Experience leading frontend architecture for large-scale applications.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of working remotely and presenting technical ideas effectively.
