What You'll Do

We seek a highly skilled IT Solution and Database Architect to join our Information Technology Group, overseeing IT solutions and database management. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining IT solutions and databases to meet project needs and evolving business requirements.

Location: Daily onsite at our San Jose Headquarters in accordance with our Flexible Work policy

Reports to: Principal Engineer – Product Planning – AI Innovation

  • Design, develop, and implement optimal IT solutions, including SaaS, in-house applications, and databases.
  • Analyze IT solution architectures and provide strategic recommendations for optimization.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept for third-party software applications, offering expert assessments.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for collecting, processing, and integrating data sources.
  • Create and maintain real-time data visualization dashboards for key metrics and system health.
  • Establish and manage databases to ensure efficient operation of IT infrastructure.
  • Optimize system performance and proactively address issues.
  • Maintain and update enterprise technical standards for applications and databases.
  • Oversee software applications and related services, implementing best practices for governance.
  • Define and document architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Serve as an architect in company-wide projects, ensuring secure and integrated solutions.
  • Collaborate with security, IT, and operations teams for seamless integration.
  • Analyze resource utilization and implement optimization strategies.
  • Manage software licensing and optimize license use.
  • Oversee MIS solutions aligning with business objectives.
  • Administer and optimize virtualization platforms, including VMware.
  • Manage Jira and Confluence for project and knowledge management.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with HPC environments and AI Platform environments is a plus.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • What You Bring
    • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related with 5 years of experience, or Master's in Electrical, CS, or related Science with 3+ years of industry experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Solution & Database Architect.
    • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and managing databases.
    • Technical proficiency in infrastructure systems, including DBMS (MS-SQL, MySQL, Oracle), Jira/Confluence, Grafana, GitHub, Virtualization/VMware, Kubernetes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in customer support or QA is a plus.
    • Inclusive, adaptable, and resilient with a collaborative mindset.
    • Creative and proactive in exploring new ideas and adapting to change.
    What We Offer

    The pay range for all roles at this level across US locations and functions is $137,375—$212,625 USD. Compensation depends on role, location, experience, and skills. We offer incentives and a benefits package focused on wellbeing, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more.
