Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an excellent opportunity for a Staff Engineer Systems - SE&V Engineering Project Manager (25-315) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. This position, based in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL, plays a crucial role in supporting the U.S. President, Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and this role is on-site with no remote options.
Position Overview:The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It is an essential operational system that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control designated networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability that provides an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Moreover, C2BMC is a crucial component of all system ground and flight tests, which verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of the missile defense system.
Lead the SE&V team in ensuring the program meets all technical requirements. Collaborate with the Chief Architect to develop the Technical Solution Baseline and the overall system architecture. Maintain the Technical Solution Baseline and its technical integrity and ensure the entire system architecture remains intact. Understand the technical impact of changes to the baseline throughout the lifecycle and communicate approved changes to the program. Guide the derivation and breakdown of system requirements and assign requirements to the Agile Release Trains (ART) / Resource Managed Organizations (RMA).
Essential Functions:Salary range in Huntsville: $163,200 - $244,800 Salary range in Colorado Springs: $155,400 - $233,200
