Staff Engineer, Forming Design - Corning : Job Details

An excellent opportunity to develop in one of Corning Incorporated's key engineering organizations supporting the deployment of new, innovative and challenging technologies. Member of the team responsible for the detailed design of Forming equipment. This includes engineering and design support of new systems and improvements to existing processes. Support the full life cycle of mechanical systems from concept to implementation including conceptualization, designing, CAD modeling, development, and test/validation. Conduct detailed analysis including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, and manufacturability to properly specify designs. Support equipment builds by creating and tracking scope of work documents, bills of material, and equipment orders. Support equipment checkouts at suppliers and equipment installation.
