Staff Accountant Opportunity at Loureiro Engineering Associates

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Plainville, CT. This role supports the Accounting & Finance group with day-to-day tasks, transactional support, and data entry functions that are essential to our financial operations.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the Controller, and Senior Accountants with routine aspects of transactional accounting processes.
  • Input accounting and project control data, AP invoices, etc. into accounting systems, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Assist with preparing A/R statements, transactional data entry, and A/R collections when needed.
  • Process vendor invoices and assists with payment processing.
  • Assist in the preparation of client billings and maintains billing and accounts payable files.
  • Prepare & submits credit applications and supports vendor management system.
  • Support Fixed Asset Purchases.
  • Perform other work as apparent or assigned by the leadership of the Finance Group.
  • Work safely and abides by the firm's policies and procedures.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 03 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related data entry roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Prior experience with accounting systems and transactional data entry is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
