Staff Accountant - Illinois Tool Works : Job Details

Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for specified general ledger accounts. Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting & analysis for assigned functional areas. Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory, cycle and physical counts. Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure seamless inventory management processes. Research and resolve divisional inquiries from corporate or external partners. Participate in the development, enhancement and monitoring of company internal controls. Provide financial support for various special projects including cost analysis, internal/external audits, sales/use tax audits, manufacturing surveys and other ad-hoc requests. Ensure company policies are being followed as well as implementation of new controls as they arise. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent advanced degree.
