Staff Accountant - Occidental Petroleum Corporation : Job Details

An experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Staff Accountant in our Compliance Tax and Royalty Group in The Woodlands, TX. This position requires timely and accurate reporting of oil & gas lease production and sales data for purposes of compliance with royalty and tax reporting regulations. The job duties include monthly reconciliation of tax, royalty and pre-paid accounts; developing a good working knowledge of oil & gas production, revenue settlement, general ledger accounting concepts and reporting regulations and requirements; communicating in a professional manner to customers both internal and external; assisting in desk audit and data mining requests; and setting up and maintaining lease information in both internal and external systems.
