Overview:
Essen Health Care is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. The desired candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of Essens Accounting Department. The desired candidate needs to be a strong critical thinker who pays attention to details and is a self-starter and a team player. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required. This is a hybrid position working 2-3 days per week on site.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end close process for multiple subsidiaries
- Assist with the preparation of various financial schedules
- Perform P&L and balance sheet monthly account reconciliations
- Monitor intercompany activity for multiple subsidiaries
- Preparation of expense accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and amortization.
- Monitor and record leasing activities
- Daily cash recording and perform bank reconciliation for multiple subsidiaries
- Prepare journal entries and review of accounting classifications in accordance with GAA
- Experience working with large data files to assign proper department and expense
- Follow up with outstanding items with internal and external parties
- Assist with the year-end audit
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of professional accounting experience
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and desire to grow with the Company
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Able to work well with team members on site and remotely
- Time management skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word (building spreadsheets/pivot tables/v-lookups/ formulas) a must
- Experience working with NetSuite preferred
- Experience in Healthcare preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Salary: $60,000-$75,000
