Staff Accountant, Assurance (Minimum 1 year experience) - Bonadio & Company LLP : Job Details

Overview

We have tremendous opportunities for Staff Accountants to play a key role on our Assurance team. We have openings for candidates residing in and around Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany, New York. As a value-added part of the Firm, you will work closely with the assurance team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements.

Responsibilities

* Become familiar with The Bonadio Group's policies and procedures

* Learn the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA

* Become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB, AICPA, GAO, and GASB

* Prepare meaningful and well written recommendations for inclusion in client correspondence

* Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and apply accounting principles and auditing procedures

* Develop positive working relationships with clients as well as with internal co-workers

* Anticipate problems and issues and keep team lead informed of project status

* Effectively apply technology tools in assigned areas

* Maintain and promote ethics and firm values in conducting internal and external business compliance services, and transaction advisory services

Qualifications

Required:

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours that qualify towards pursuit of CPA

* A minimum of one year of professional full-time experience

* Progress towards completion of CPA

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook

* Ability and willingness to travel as needed

Preferred:

* CPA Certification

* Involvement in professional and community organizations

The salary range for this opportunity is between $59,000-$70,000 commensurate with experience.

Hours Of Operation:

* Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

* Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday

* We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
