JOB SUMMARY

The Software Developer will work in collaboration with IT and Business functional areas to support the business. You will establish a feedback loop to ensure that our client delivers value aligned with company objectives and deliverables.

Work in collaboration with the core Information Security team to design cloud and on-premise software and automation solutions that meet MWHS security standards. Collaborate with third parties as needed. Work alongside internal customers, business partners, and technology teams.

The successful candidate will be a creative, focused, critical thinker with a passion for improvement, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners, including senior and executive management.

You will support automation initiatives, platform and application deployment, management, configuration auditing, and other areas where automation can improve service delivery.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clients and/or internal teams to understand user needs; draft proposals and software designs accordingly.
  • Assess feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints.
  • Develop code and design software applications based on specifications.
  • Develop APIs for application integration as needed.
  • Document data architecture and flows.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors or enhance performance.
  • Conduct rigorous software testing based on requirements, use cases, and feedback.
  • Assist with software testing and validation procedures.
  • Support software installation and ensure applications operate within specifications.
  • Gather user feedback and modify software for better usability.
  • Design databases for specific applications.
  • Advise clients on software maintenance.
  • Support business groups in implementing automation processes.
  • Define, automate, and orchestrate IT processes across different systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
  • Five years of experience as a software developer or architect preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile development, performance improvement, and requirements gathering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of programming languages and systems.
  • Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting, ASP.NET development, C# with .NET framework, MS SQL programming (including stored procedures, views, tables, structures), and knowledgeable about Microsoft client & server OS, domain services, and networking concepts.

This position is available for remote work.
