At Volt, our greatest strength is our people Volt is immediately hiring for Sr. System Safety Engineer which is onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana You will do:Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analysesBriefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval processInterpreting system requirements, customer specifications, and military standardsPreparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety programCollaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and designInterfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering This is a 12 month with possible extension opportunity. Qualification Must have : Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.  An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position. Experience with Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Firmware Engineering. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with DoD System Safety ProgramsExperience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environment Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving DOD Safety Programs. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, System Safety Working Groups Additional Job Details:Pay Rate:- $60/hr.-$70/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
