Maxar is currently seeking Software Developers to join our R&D centre in Westminster, CO, US.

We are establishing a new team in the US to work with our Swedish 3D centre of excellence.

Our core is 3D geodata derived from satellite images of the highest quality. Our solutions include 3D visualization, analysis, geo-registering, and navigation tools, providing decision-makers worldwide with accurate 3D data for navigation, security, defense, and infrastructure.

As a Software Developer, you will work in agile teams focusing on algorithm development, primarily using languages like C, C++, Go, Python, JavaScript, and Rust in a Linux environment. Your role involves stakeholder communication, transforming requirements into products, and working on applications like stereo algorithms, mesh and voxel processing, georegistration, and real-time video processing.

Minimum requirements include a MSc in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields, with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience. Fundamental knowledge in computer hardware, operating systems, data structures, memory management, process concurrency, STL, linear algebra, and experience in C, C++, Go, Linux, and algorithm development are necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience in image processing, system design, sensor calibration, machine learning, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, databases, geodata, cybersecurity, Vulkan, Python, computer vision, remote sensing, GIS, aerial navigation, Git, test automation, embedded systems, and porting software across Linux systems. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance are required.
