Job Description Summary

As the Sr. Staff Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for leading and delivering advanced data science and machine learning solutions across Defense & Systems Digital Technology (DT) projects. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models, optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Model (LLM) pipelines, and leveraging semantic technologies to enhance data integration and analytics. Collaborate across technical teams and cloud platforms to drive innovation, ensure technical rigor, and deliver customer value. Additionally, mentor colleagues, standardize analytics practices, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders while navigating complex and ambiguous environments.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of products and data delivery platforms with reusable components across teams that can be orchestrated into different methods for various businesses.
  • Lead the technical execution of a cloud migration factory, migrating multiple applications and data from on-prem data centers into AWS within strict timelines.
  • Effectively monitor and control organizational costs.
  • Lead and coordinate domain technical and business discussions regarding future architecture directions across the product portfolio or line.
  • Analyze, design, and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based on current versus future states within a cohesive architecture framework.
  • Review and analyze architectural requirements at the domain level within the product portfolio or team.
  • Participate in the enterprise architecture domain enabling team.
  • Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry, and market trends to support project development and operational activities.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years of professional experience, or an associate's degree with at least 9 years, or a high school diploma with at least 11 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in STEM fields or IT.
  • Note: Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
  • Eligibility Requirement:

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas.

    Desired Characteristics:

    Technical Expertise:
    • AWS Architect certification plus at least four years of experience architecting solutions within AWS, including cloud migrations, IAM, RDS, Redshift, etc.
    • At least three years of experience architecting data platform services (ingestion, storage, export).
    • Experience with data tools like Informatica and Spotfire.
    • Experience with B2B user authentication providers such as Saviynt.
    • Experience integrating solutions with Palantir Foundry.
    • Experience leveraging AI for business process improvements.
    • Experience with ServiceNow and Agile frameworks like Rally.
    • Ability to consult with product owners and customers on technical solutions at an enterprise level.
    • Ability to analyze, design, and develop software solutions and roadmaps based on current and future business states.
    • Knowledge of solution configuration choices, cost implications, and solution catalog discussions.
    • Experience maintaining operational stability through various lifecycle phases and managing budgets.
    • Ability to lead early-stage customer interactions and help clients integrate new solutions with legacy systems.
    Business Acumen:
    • Knowledge of security and compliance issues related to CMMC, export control, and government/military data access.
    • Experience working with government and military clients.
    • Ability to navigate organizational structures, foresee obstacles, leverage resources, and rally teams.
    • Ability to articulate the value of solutions and produce detailed functional information for cross-functional use.
    • Extensive knowledge of the solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing it at an advanced level.
    • Practitioner and mentor of GE Aerospace Flightdeck principles, including customer focus, standard work, and problem solving.
    Leadership:
    • Knowledge of internal organizational structures and ability to lead or work with blended teams, including third-party partners and clients.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influence skills across organizational levels.
    • Proven skills in analysis and problem resolution, influencing, and building consensus with IT teams and leadership.
