Sales Engineers assess potential application of company products or services and design solutions that meet customer needs.This individual will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of customer facing sales presentations and acting as a subject matter expert in all product/service offerings.ResponsibilitiesUses technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build salesInterfaces with customers to determine technical requirements and expectationsWorks with appropriate internal organizations (Engineering, Product, Marketing, Provisioning and Operations) to develop and validate network designs in accordance with Crown Castle capabilities.Designs viable data network solutions for customer applications with alternatives based on customer-specific technical and financial parameters (May include preparation of network topologies, network drawings, and technical specifications, and assisting Sales with pricing)Assist Sales Executives with ICB development and review, and assembles required data and initiates Complex ICB processAssists Sales Executives in the preparation, delivery and review of sales proposals and RFP/RFQ responses with prospects and clients.Communicates customer feedback to Product Management for future product developmentsResearches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or servicesReviews and validates all service orders before being submitted for implementation. Participates in service order kickoff meetings to ensure smooth service implementation.Develop and deliver appropriate ad-hoc training for market, including new product and new technologyHelp to ramp up other Sales EngineersPerforms other support duties, as assignedEducation/CertificationsBachelor's degree RequiredExperience/Minimum RequirementsMinimum seven (7) or more years' experience supporting telecommunications servicesto Enterprise accountsRequires a professional demeanor with strong communications skills – verbal and writtenExperience with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Products including Excel & Visio & Mapping softwareExpectationsExperience with CRM toolsStrong technical understanding of Fiber Optic characteristics, such as impact of dB loss, latencyStrong technical understanding & exp. w/optical transport solutions such asDWDM and SONETStrong technical understanding of Carrier Ethernet Technologies including MEF 9 & 14 standards; VLANS, Q-in-Q, Data Link Layer Tunneling, RSTP, G.8032, Y.1731Strong technical understanding of IP Routing protocols such as BGP and Routed Protocols, including IPv4 and IPv6Strong technical presentation skills (development and delivery)Organizational RelationshipReports to: Manager Sales EngineeringTitle(s) of direct reports (if applicable): N/AWorking Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.CompensationThe pay range offered for this position is $123,000.00 - $169,100.00 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan.
