Honeywell, located in South Bend, IN, has an immediate opening for a Senior Reliability Engineer. This facility is committed to maintenance excellence and mechanical reliability. The position focuses on improving fixed equipment reliability by applying Reliability Engineering principles, statistical data analysis, and supporting work processes for the South Bend site.

• Facilitating investigation of keynote failures associated with fixed equipment and materials of construction.
• Bringing in additional materials or experts as necessary to resolve issues.
• Maintaining Design Standards for Fixed Equipment and materials of construction.
• Working closely with internal and external customers to maintain production equipment.
• Responding to and assessing issues in the plant, including off-hours.
• Knowing when, where, and how to resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, environmentally responsible actions.
• Overseeing Capital Projects.

You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 4 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience in heavy industrial settings. Alternatively, 15+ years of relevant experience without a degree.

• Ability to analyze equipment history data (SAP, work order systems, vendor research) for reliability planning.
• Extensive experience with fixed equipment reliability (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, relief devices, piping systems, utilities such as boilers, cooling towers, hot oil systems, water treatment).
• Self-starter with team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD systems.
• Strong safety commitment.
• Experience implementing new techniques like predictive maintenance to improve operations.
