Job Description: Sr. QA - Data and Business Intelligence (USA/Remote)
This position is responsible for developing comprehensive test plans for medium to complex systems to ensure a smooth transition from development to production. The role includes mentoring lower-level staff, testing, reviewing, and learning the functionality of software applications developed in-house or purchased from third-party vendors. The individual will develop and maintain documented standards for software quality acceptance.
Develop thorough test plans for medium to complex systems, ensuring application functionality meets original requirements.Collaborate closely with software development teams to test and review applications prior to deployment.Gain knowledge of medium to complex business applications used within the organization; research and respond to application inquiries.Mentor junior staff members.Maintain documented standards for software quality acceptance.Represent the QA department in project meetings.Keep test environments up to date.Ensure end-user documentation aligns with program functionality.Engage in ongoing self-study to enhance QA skills and knowledge.Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in test strategy creation, implementation, and familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Xray) and automation tools.
- Experience with data reconciliation, data quality, and reasonableness testing within an analytics environment.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and scripting for backend database testing.
- Experience working in an agile environment and in healthcare domains.
- Understanding of business applications and effective communication with technical and non-technical staff.
- Minimum of 6+ years' experience as a QA Analyst.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science or related field.
Additional Information
Salary Range: $77,785 - $124,455
This reflects the anticipated base salary range; actual pay may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other factors. The position may also include incentives and benefits.
