Who are we looking for?
We are hiring for a new Sr. Proposal Specialist to join our Southeast Team to support pursuit and proposal activities and the development and implementation of pursuit plans and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Document Preparation: Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.
- Needs Assessment: Investigate questions relating to existing programs, processes, and procedures.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
- Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
- Multiagency Work: Work collaboratively with other professional teams and over organizational boundaries to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs.
- Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Request for Bid Solicitation/Proposal/Tender Response: Gather information and resources, draft and complete proposals, and fulfill all process requirements (in terms of deadlines, documentation, etc.) in response to bid solicitations, request for proposal, and request for tender to create the best chance of being awarded the contract.
- Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on aspects of bid solicitation, including request for proposal (RFP) and request for tender (RFT) project requirements, and write specifications for tenders.
- Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
Experience
- General Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)
- Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
