Duties include: assisting in the activities of job superintendents; preparing building budgets, estimates, taking bids for materials, purchasing and expediting supplies and materials, developing and updating schedules, processing and tracking change orders, coordinating staffing, making periodic job site visits to coordinate the activities of all work crews on assigned projects. .What we are Looking For:Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge of:Estimating project costs and timelinesConstruction techniques and applicationsEmployee and equipment productivitySubcontractors scope of workOSHA regulationsCity, state and federal lawsCompany personnel policiesEquipment uses and practicesProject managementSupervising and gaining respect of employeesDeveloping and delegating tasks and projectsProblem solvingInspecting job sites for safety complianceCommunication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, owner, subcontractors, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive or give work directionEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties such as those listed above12+ years of experience in project estimating, including cost and timeline projectionsPhysical Requirements:Positions in this class typically require: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, driving, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Incumbents may be subjected to extreme temperatures, long hours, weekend, and holiday duties.Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
