This is what is all about.Job Summary:We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a program of high-priority client and vendor connectivity migrations at BNY. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional efforts, working directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless connectivity migrations with minimal business disruption.The ideal candidate has deep experience in infrastructure project management, excels in client-facing communication, and thrives under pressure in fast-paced, high-visibility programs.Key Responsibilities:
- Client & Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with external vendors and clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and driving timely migration of connectivity from legacy DMZ to new environments.
- Program Oversight: Lead a program of interconnected projects focused on infrastructure migration; coordinate timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with Infrastructure, application owners, and vendor management to resolve technical issues, triage escalations, and maintain forward momentum.
- Migration Planning & Execution: Drive the detailed planning and execution of B2B extranet and DMZ migrations; ensure all connectivity requirements are met across systems.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks and roadblocks; implement resolution plans and escalate appropriately to maintain schedule alignment.
- Team Support: Oversee administrative coordination efforts, supporting team members temporarily assigned to assist with client communications and documentation.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare status updates and program reports for senior stakeholders; provide clear summaries of milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in infrastructure or client migration programs
- Proven experience coordinating complex technical migrations involving DMZ, B2B extranet connectivity, and enterprise systems
- Strong client-facing skills; capable of managing expectations and navigating complex stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships and driving deliverables across multiple external parties
- Ability to manage project scope, timelines, and resources across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Comfortable working in matrixed enterprise environments and with global cross-functional teams
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (including status reporting and executive presentations)
- Experience managing risks, issues, and escalations in high-stakes delivery environments
- Bachelor's degree required; PMP or similar certification preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Strong understanding of infrastructure environments, particularly DMZ configurations, data center operations, and secure connectivity standards
- Experience leading client/vendor migration initiatives during data center exits or large-scale infrastructure transformations
- Ability to lead project managers or cross-functional contributors in a program-style delivery model
- Previous experience in financial services or another regulated industry
- Experience managing and presenting to executive stakeholders
