About the Role:

Moog Space Sector has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager for our Hypersonic Vehicle Systems business unit to manage and coordinate complex programs. We seek a motivated leader to collaborate externally with our customers and internally with our teams and management to meet or exceed program expectations. This business unit provides complex integrated systems involving flight control actuation, navigation sensing, and computing for high-value strategic weapon systems. A strong program management background with a proven execution track record is highly desired. Experience working directly with, or in, a military branch of service with an existing security clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is preferred. The position will be based onsite in East Aurora, NY Plant 20.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements through coordination and management of all program activities.
  • Achieve program/project objectives through effective application of program management principles within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support process improvements and standard work implementation within Program Management.
  • Sustain and expand the organization's book of business through leadership/support of proposal teams and business capture campaigns.
  • Develop program plans with detailed schedules and monitor the status of cost, schedule, and task completion to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct effective day-to-day communications with customers, Moog management, and functional organizations to resolve issues timely.
  • Collaborate with other Program Managers and stakeholders to optimize program success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a technical field demonstrating leadership in project teams.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Program Management experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of professional work experience, including program management.
  • Proven leadership, excellent listening, and persuasive skills.
  • Strong team collaboration, emotional intelligence, and customer orientation.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, including Earned Value Management.
  • Experience managing multiple programs, working with operations, supply chain, and engineering.
  • Experience leading proposal development and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience managing development schedules, costs, and risks.
  • Ability to present program information effectively and navigate high-pressure situations.
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills to lead and influence teams.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Ability to access US export-controlled information (ITAR) and obtain a US security clearance.

Salary Range in Buffalo, NY: $115,000 - $155,000 annually.

The salary range is indicative and varies based on experience, location, and performance. It is part of Moog's total compensation, which may include bonuses, stock plans, and region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.
