Senior Product Manager – Data Management

Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing innovations in the core Clearwater investment data management platform. Our market-leading, cloud-native, single-instance multi-tenant architecture ingests data from thousands of sources to create a golden source of truth.

Reporting to a senior product leader based in the U.S., this role will define product requirements, plan development to production, and work closely with clients to ensure their success. Additionally, the Product Manager will craft the product roadmap to achieve bookings, client NPS, and gross margin targets related to their component.

The product manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and prospects to identify new capability requirements, maintain close collaboration with development teams to ensure successful creation and market introduction of new features, and test and implement these features with clients while promoting growth to a broader audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage 2-3 scrum teams comprising 12-15 engineers
  • Evaluate current data platform and develop short (0-6 months), medium (6-12 months), and long-term roadmaps for a scalable, automated, and resilient data platform
  • Prioritize decisions based on data-driven justification
  • Align multiple development teams on the product roadmap
  • Lead development of cross-product capabilities
  • Contribute to department development and training plans
  • Foster a culture of communication within the organization
  • Build release-specific product briefs outlining client problems, value, priority, and approach
  • Stay current with technological developments in data management and apply insights to product strategy

Required Skills:

  • Experience in the investment management industry with knowledge of Security Reference, Trade, Analytics, Pricing, Accounting (ABOR/IBOR), Performance, Custody data domains
  • Proven ability to manage data pipelines and data management features/functions, including execution and influence within asset management
  • 8+ years as a Product Manager in a B2B enterprise SaaS environment (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of investments and investment accounting
  • At least 5 years of experience with structured financial data management platforms (e.g., MDM, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lake)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities with internal and external parties
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and pay attention to detail
  • Leadership skills with influence via diplomacy and tact
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Education Background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven hands-on technical experience if lacking a technical degree
