We are CNN.To see what it's like to work at CNN, follow @WBDLife on Instagram and X !Your New Role…As a Sr Product Designer, Platforms, you will be a member of the CNN Digital Product Design Team, responsible for creating industry-leading new experiences consumed by millions across the globe.The Platforms team develops bespoke storytelling tools for CNN's editorial team. Our content platform, Stellar, is the backbone of CNN's digital experience. StoryHub is a new centralized planning tool designed to improve newsroom workflows, helping our teams focus on delivering award-winning journalism. This is an exciting opportunity to design and implement a new vision for future newsrooms.You are an experienced designer who enjoys collaborating with product, engineering, research, editorial, analytics, content strategy, and other designers to create efficient workflows and intuitive storytelling tools, building a best-in-class platform.Your Role Accountabilities…Create information architecture diagrams, experience journeys, user flows, wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes to conceptualize product features.Conduct regular user research sessions with editorial users.Perform usability tests and draw insights to inform recommendations.Create, contribute, and maintain tokens and components for our design system.Champion our design principles, systems, and product roadmap, serving our editorial teams' needs.Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to brainstorm, envision, and validate new features for CNN's publishing platform.Qualifications & Experience…6+ years as a product designer.Experience with enterprise, platforms, or internal tools preferred.Mastery of Figma 124.4+ including variables, components, styles, and shared libraries.Experience with CSS, HTML, and/or Javascript is a bonus but not required.Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, capable of developing engaging presentations and facilitating alignment across multiple levels.Ability to manage complex design challenges individually and with stakeholders.Experience supporting distributed teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Outstanding attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Strong work ethic, integrity, and a collaborative approach, willing to roll up sleeves and get things done.Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience.How We Get Things Done…Our guiding principles are central to our operations.
