Collins Aerospace has a need for a Configuration Management Specialist who will work with the Configuration Management team, interfacing with engineering to assist in the development, compliance and maintenance of configuration management company standards and processes at our Bohemia, NY facility.

This role will be an opportunity to perform direction for technical/business support in the Engineering Department and working with the Configuration Management team with daily documentation objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a background within engineering and configuration management along with experience with Teamcenter. You will help manage the CAD engineering drawings, BOM along with the traceability of linked parts and commodities.

This is an Onsite position, relocation is available for qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

* Support product projects from pre-concept through obsolescence.

* Create, manage, and release Bills of Material based on data from Engineering, Project Management and Manufacturing to support NPI and production product releases.

* Manage and track change request, change orders, and problem reports in PLM system.

* Communicate Engineering BOM requirements between Supply Chain and Production to facilitate material planning, order fulfillment and execution.

* Manage and organize complex projects and priorities, solve problems that impact release progress and provide detailed information to cross functional teams.

* End user support and problem resolution.

* Maintain of data items within a Product Life Management (PLM) system.

* Review and approval of configuration management documentation standards.

* Review of design documents for data accuracy within a process workflow.

* Develop and maintain configuration management/change management metrics.

* Ensures department practices and procedures are followed by Engineering staff.

* Execute Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.

* Help develop and refine processes to gain efficiencies.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in the aerospace industry.

* Experience with Configuration Management

* Experience with Teamcenter

* Knowledge of working with a PLM data base management system.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
