Position Brand Description

The Lilly API/Dry Product Network is expanding rapidly with new greenfield sites under construction, requiring surge capacity for site start-up and ramp-up to full capacity. The ADN RAMP team is a cross-functional group with deep manufacturing expertise, supporting site start-ups through operational excellence, troubleshooting, and surge capacity. This role offers opportunities to work at new sites, build a larger Lilly network, develop technical and leadership skills, and help accelerate Lilly's mission to serve more patients.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
  • Provide process control and automation engineering expertise to ensure safe, right-first-time delivery and on-time facility start-up, applying fundamentals of process control & automation engineering.
  • Partner with site engineering teams for consultation and technical problem solving related to process controls, DeltaV DCS systems, operational readiness, and C&Q support.
  • Coach and develop local technical teams to support operational excellence and technical skill growth.
  • Use root cause analysis to investigate process and equipment issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Monitor and document equipment performance to maintain qualification of assets.
  • Ensure safety standards for process equipment are maintained.
  • Basic Requirements
    • BS degree in Engineering or related science with 8-10 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
    • Deep understanding of process control/automation systems, including DeltaV DCS, automation architecture, and system integration with MES and IT platforms.
    Additional Skills/Preferences
    • Knowledge of other automation platforms like Rockwell, Siemens, etc.
    • Understanding of process instrumentation and batch control.
    • Experience with Emerson's Syncade MES platform.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate, coach, influence without authority, and simplify complex issues.
    • Willingness to work off-shift and travel as needed.
