Role Overview
The Dragon Strategy, Operations, and Planning department utilizes analytics to provide critical insights for aligning goals and execution across supply chain, operations, and engineering. As an Operations Analyst, you will analyze and develop solutions to production challenges to increase efficiency and support our goal of reaching Mars. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses (SQL queries, PowerBI dashboards) to improve production efficiency
- Analyze trends and metrics to inform strategic decisions
- Understand workflows across the business to identify gaps and answer tactical questions
- Develop automation to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies
- Maintain data integrity, tools, and reporting quality
- Enhance data inputs for demand signals, machine utilization, and production prioritization
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, computer science, management information systems, business, statistics, economics, or mathematics
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations analysis, production coordination, supply chain, scheduling, or planning
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Master's degree in relevant fields
- Proficiency in SQL (advanced joins, views, query optimization)
- Experience with dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Knowledge of analytics languages (Python, R)
- Proficiency in Excel VBA
- Understanding of database structures and ETL development
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and surface insights from data
- Ability to communicate results to non-technical audiences
- Strong relationship-building across disciplines and management levels
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
- Position based onsite in Hawthorne, CA (remote work not available)
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $110,000 - $145,000 per year, with potential bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
ITAR Requirements
Applicants must meet U.S. export regulations criteria, including citizenship or legal residency status.
