Overview
The Senior Networking Solutions Architect is an expert in secure networking technology. This role involves consulting with clients and working with internal teams to create strategies and designs for complex solutions that meet clients' needs. The architect provides deep knowledge in networking, cybersecurity, and data centers to offer comprehensive solutions from edge to cloud. They ensure the solutions meet business needs and understand the services required for implementation and ongoing support and management.
In This Role You Will
- Contribute to the development of complex solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
- Maintain advanced solutions and technical certifications with the core partners including Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Juniper and Palo Alto Networks.
- Develop clear networking solutions designs and proposals for client consumption highlighting the benefits of technologies selected in terms of cost, risk and future readiness for AI.
- Understand the NTT DATA service catalog and motivate and position NTT DATA services within the solution including professional services, support services and managed services where applicable.
- Understand how to fit the networking technology solutions within the clients budget, leveraging experience with different commercial constructs including CAPEX vs. OPEX.
- Identify and qualify potential client opportunities together with sales specialists and client executives, ensuring the additional resource investment is warranted for pursuit.
- Drive client conversations to identify new opportunities based on technology lifecycle activities such as modernization and refresh initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.
- Produce specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces, for translation into detailed designs using selected services and products.
- Support a change program or project through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
- Understand client requirements, collect data, deliver analysis and problem resolution.
- Monitor the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.
- Create reports and technology roadmaps and share knowledge and insights with others.
- Design components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
- Create multiple design views to address stakeholder concerns and both functional and non-functional requirements, including proof of concept (POC).
- Review, verify and improve own designs against specifications.
- Make recommendations for the development of new go-to-market services and contribute knowledge on relevant verticals.
- Operate across both the technical levels within the enterprise architecture and the value chain to develop holistic and integrated solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key technology solutions and services partners.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced Solutions Architects.
Knowledge and Attributes
- Advanced knowledge of multi-vendor service integrations and cross-functional software, OSs and infrastructure designs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of how specific infrastructures and application software are deployed in line with relevant methodologies and frameworks.
- Ability to develop and leverage advanced specialist knowledge of reference architectures.
- Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains.
- Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Advanced ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, product, delivery, etc.
- Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business or a related field.
Required Experience
- The position requires a minimum of five years of industry experience, deep knowledge of the networking portfolio for core partners (Cisco/HPE Aruba/Juniper), and significant experience in digital infrastructure modernization.
- Experience selling within a healthcare vertical would be key for this role.
- Advanced professional technical, IT or operations experience within large-scale (preferably multinational) network environments in Design, Deploy, Operate, Automate and Support.
- Advanced project or program management experience would be preferred but not essential.
- Advanced client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management.
- Advanced experience in integrating the solution for the particular project with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns and best practices.
- Advanced experience in developing, selling and delivering technical solutions.
