Responsible for mentoring junior staff and providing input on complex projectsResponsibilitiesTechnical ImplementationDesign, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Cloud-Based Solutions.Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances.Strong background in network protocols such as, TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, SSL, etc.Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to implement and maintain robust network security measures that safeguard data, software, and hardware assets.Network OperationsMonitor, detect, and respond to network issues, ensuring timely resolution and thorough documentation.Conduct regular performance assessments and capacity planning to support network scalability and future growth.Provide technical responses to network incidents, coordinating with the incident response team to identify root causes, resolve issues, and implement long-term remediation strategies.Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, promoting and implementing ongoing performance improvements to maintain a secure and efficient environment.ComplianceEnsure adherence to all relevant regulations and industry standards, including HIPAA, to maintain a secure and compliant network environment.Develop and implement network strategies that align with organizational goals while safeguarding sensitive data and supporting regulatory compliance.CollaborationPartner with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions into enterprise systems and applications.Provide training, guidance, and support to staff on agreed upon network best practices and emerging technologies to enhance overall technical proficiency and awareness.DocumentationMaintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, protocols, topologies, and incident reports to support operational continuity and troubleshooting.Create and regularly update documentation related to the network environment, including diagrams, inventories, and change logs.Stay informed on emerging network technologies and trends, recommending enhancements to improve existing infrastructure and practices.Network AuditsSupport both routine and ad hoc network audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Network Standards and PoliciesReview network standards and policies with leader to align with current industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements, ensuring a secure and efficient network environment.Network MaintenanceConfigure, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Review and optimize scheduled maintenance windows to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.Network StrategySupport and contribute to the implementation of the organization's network strategy to align with business objectives.Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans focused on network resiliency, redundancy, and business continuity.Assist in building long-term network roadmaps, setting milestones to support future growth, scalability, and technological advancement.Network Design and StrategyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and validate new networking technologies or re-design existing environments to meet evolving business and technical requirements.Technical SupportProvide advanced technical support and guidance to end users and IT staff, ensuring timely and effective resolution of network-related issues.Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to internal IT teams and external vendors, addressing complex technical challenges and ensuring service continuity.Direction and MentorshipGuide and mentor junior network engineers and administrators, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing within the team.Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for complex networking projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
