Description Summary The Senior Network Administrator's primary role is to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support in areas of technologies within the network department focusing on daily operations and working tickets. Daily operations include configuring various types of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. The Senior Network Administrator may contribute as a subject matter expert in a core technology area such as layer 3 routing and switching, firewall operations, or load balancing. Other duties include monitoring and maintaining the network environment, acting as a lead resource during break/fix emergencies, working after-hours maintenance windows, and participating in on-call rotation. Systems include LAN, WAN, SDWAN, wireless, load balancing, and firewall operations. • Troubleshoot various types of network problems including network routing, access, and wireless. • Work escalated ticket requests. • Contribute as a subject matter expert in core technology areas • Interact with Telecom providers on circuit issues and/or reporting. • Travel to branch offices for specific network related projects or issues. • Manage network device backups. • Participate in an on-call rotation • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in technology or CCNP required • Minimum of 10 years networking experience • Specialized experience in core technology such as Cisco ISE, dynamic routing, load balancing, wireless, or firewall technologies preferred. • Required experience in Cisco routing and switching. • Required experience operating firewalls Supervisory Responsibilities • Help train, coach, and mentor other Network Administrators Work Environment The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Requirements • Constantly Sit- Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time, Use hands/fingers for repetitive keyboard & hand motion, Speak coherently. Emotional Effort • Moderate: Occasional short deadlines. Work environment is occasionally hectic with periods of high stress.
