Sr. .Net Platform Engineer - Backend - Request Technology : Job Details

Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.We are unable to sponsor as this is a permanent full-time role.A prestigious company is seeking a Senior .Net/Java Software Platform Engineer. The company is transitioning from Java to .Net, and this role focuses on redesigning backend Java technology into .Net. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing new components and features.Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical authority in designing, developing, and delivering innovative features, collaborating with product owners, front-end, middleware, DevOps, and firmware teams to align solutions with business goals.
• Lead technical assessments, scope changes, and manage the codebase for critical requirements, high-impact enhancements, and complex change requests across initiatives.
• Architect and implement scalable, efficient, and robust software designs for high-complexity projects, working with solution architects and senior leaders to ensure alignment with platform and business strategies.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and platform design principles to produce high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Develop expertise in platform-specific frameworks, features, and middleware components, serving as a subject-matter expert across teams.
• Provide technical leadership to offshore and onshore teams, aligning on architecture, feature delivery, and reducing technical debt.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols, including ISO 27001 standards, to protect platform integrity and customer trust.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including design, development, and deployment of large-scale systems.
• Experience in creating technical documentation like design specs, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
• Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with success applying them to complex projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, and Visual Studio.
• Hands-on experience with GIT, NoSQL databases, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFront.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud resource management.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline, including automated testing and deployment frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable, cloud-native architectures using microservices, serverless, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
