A Day In The LifeUnder the leadership of the GSFS Sr. Director of Product and Pricing, the Sr Mgr, Pricing & Underwriting will take the lead in the development and maintenance of product rating for GSFS F&I products. The Senior Manager is responsible for developing or producing rating and reporting that is requested by internal GSFS customers. The manager will apply and continually develop their knowledge and expertise of the industry, as well as apply skills in economics, accounting, marketing, legislation, and business practices in the role.

As a Sr Mgr, Pricing & UW you will:

  • Develop and maintain all rating of products for internal/external use
  • Develop and maintain processes for rating. Lead change or efficiency initiatives as necessary
  • Develop and maintain all vehicle classification maintenance
  • Collaborate with GSFS Product Managers and Directors to collect and interpret detailed pricing support for products in the TEC and SecureNet portfolio and offer observations and recommendations
  • Preparation and presentation of management reports & pricing analysis to Leadership, Product Managers, Finance and other internal GSFS clients
  • Assist in the development of products or provide guidance when necessary
  • Provide and present reporting for various loss information and/or product development
  • Provide product rate filing package for state departments of insurance to the Sr. Director for review and approval
  • Perform special assignments and ad hoc reporting for department leadership

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting or similar Req
  • 7-9 years Experience in Product Development, Product Rating, or Insurance Pricing Required
  • Ability to apply common sense.
  • Possess strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Is able to support change
  • Demonstrate strong planning skills
  • Demonstrate good relationship-developing skills
  • Is customer (internal and external) focused.

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
