Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Validation Engineer Location:sumter sc Duration: Long term Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Mechanical Engineer to support the startup of a new production line that was previously mothballed and is now being revived. This role involves significant involvement in conducting acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems. Responsibilities • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), identifying and debugging mechanical, electrical, or software malfunctions. • Ensure compliance with mechanical, electrical, and ergonomic safety standards. • Oversee the fine-tuning and debugging of mechanical components within automation systems. • Optimize equipment parameters to achieve desired Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). • Utilize optical instruments for precise measurements or imaging, specifically with Data Logic and Cognex vision systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain records, generate reports, and ensure compliance. Essential Skills • High-level expertise in SAT/FAT execution. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Experience in high-speed machine automation, preferably in the medical device industry. • 7-10 years of experience in line commissioning with a focus on mechanical engineering. • Proficiency in basic office programs such as Word, Excel, and Project. • Basic awareness of ISO standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with SAT/FAT processes in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. • Molding experience is a plus. • Must possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. • bility to integrate with the client's site engineering team, working closely with Mechanical/Electrical technicians and operators.
