Join a talented and dynamic team of mechanical engineers and designers developing systems used to print and personalize credit cards, passports, driver's licenses, national IDs and more. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and implementing ideas into production. Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes used to create parts. This Senior Mechanical Designer has a strong mechanical aptitude and has great attention to detail. You will receive work directions from Mechanical Engineers and provide timely and accurate solutions. Must work well with cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand product requirements and develop solutions
  • Create part drawings, solid models and bills of material
  • Lead design reviews and drawing reviews
  • Work with suppliers to produce parts
  • Prototype and test designs
  • Technical problem-solving abilities
  • Maintain major subassemblies
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Create accurate ECO's and PACNs

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product development experience
  • Associate's degree in Engineering CAD or similar
  • 3D solid modeling experience using SolidWorks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, and general PC applications.
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with injection-molded, plastic-part design
  • Experience with sheet metal, machined part design
  • 3D printing experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude and hands on skills
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel in a highly interactive team environment
  • Understanding of GD&T standards

Compensation Range:

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $33.34-$48.89 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company's discretionary annual incentive plan.
