  • Someone who is excellent at managing the design and execution of custom qualitative insights projects tailored to answer client objectives—from planning through moderation to delivering clear, strategic recommendations.
  • Someone with UX research experience who is confident conducting usability tests, in-depth interviews, and exploratory studies to help clients improve digital experiences.
  • An insightful researcher who can see the patterns in qualitative data and concisely tell a compelling story, drawing out actionable insights—not just what users said, but what it means and what to do next.
  • A strong communicator—written and verbal. We value clarity, storytelling, and the ability to frame questions, insights, and implications with impact.
  • A collaborator who works seamlessly with internal Research Operations teams to align on recruitment criteria, coordinate logistics, and ensure a smooth fieldwork process.
  • A mentor who can guide junior team members at every stage of the research process and who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the work done.

It'll Be Helpful If You Have
  • At least 6 years of experience in custom primary qualitative research, ideally with both UX and strategic research projects under your belt.
  • Demonstrated experience working on UX-focused research (e.g., digital experiences, AI tools, usability studies, product innovation).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Business, Marketing, Psychology, HCI or a related field.
  • Comfort working in agile or rolling research environments, where priorities evolve and speed matters.
  • Strong collaboration habits with both internal teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in basic Office/Google tools, comfort with communications tools such as Slack, and familiarity with research platforms like Discuss.io or similar.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skill set, and any other factors MarketCast considers relevant to the hiring decision.
